Welcome to Cottrell Circle C Ranch, located in the heart of historic gold mining territory and the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains. It is here that you will find Registered Black Angus Cattle grazing the fields, behind a backdrop of majestic mountains and a never-ending sky. At Cottrell Circle C Ranch, we strive to provide our customers with a whole balance, above industry standards approach to business.

In 2002 we purchased our first Registered Angus cattle from a local farm in Georgia. It was at this time that a new passion was born. Not only is our passion evident in our highest selection of cattle, but it is also exemplified in the superior customer service and quality that continues to set us above the rest. We recognize the importance of an honest business relationship; integrity is a key element in how we conduct business.

Since the beginning, we have made it our responsibility to impact the cattle industry. Learning, education, and hands on experience have taught us a great deal about this lucrative and very competitive business. Someone that I respect once said, Raising cattle that have a direct impact on the industry is a lifetime achievement. He went on to say, The decisions that we make today must be the right ones; if not, you'll be left behind. This advice will continue to be the cornerstone of our way of life, and will have a place on our ranch for generations to come.

We strive for quality. We believe that quality is not only created, it is earned. Our Multi-Genetic Selection Sires have been proven by the industry; and our functional Dams are an example of how we develop our product into the kind of quality cattle our customers rely on and demand.

The decisions that are made in our breeding program are based upon low birth to high yearling weights. This very concept emphasizes carcass expected progeny differences while keeping milking abilities stable. Wean and yearling weights are vital to staying above industry standards, therefore we creep feed our developing heifers and bulls.

We appreciate that our customers keep up in business. We will do whatever it takes to keep our customers completely satisfied. In doing this, we must keep up with how to build better offspring that will meet the needs of our customers. This takes diligence, hard work, and education.

Over the last few years we have asked our customers to detail what they are looking for when purchasing a bull. With large agreement, most have said that they want low birth weight and fast growth in the calf crops. Others say they need a bull that will hold up strong, and not break down in the pasture. We listen to our customers, which is just one of the ways we can provide our customers with above industry standards. We put every effort into producing bulls that will meet the demands of our valued customers. Thus creating Whole Balance and quality bloodlines for future generations.

At Cottrell Circle C Ranch, we believe in going all the way. Once our commercial bull buyer brings their calves to market, we want them to continue throughout the chain with carcass quality that promotes the beef industry as a whole.
